Mali Iž

Mali Iz is situated on the south-east coast of the island of Iz, and consists of three colorful village (Mucel, Makovac and Porovac). It is situated on the three hills and at the bottom there are two bays – Knez and Komoseva.

Place, whose inhabitants are engaged in agriculture and fishing, counts just 200 inhabitants, and was inhabited since ancient times. This is confirmed by examples of early Croatian architectural art, that are visible along the entire island, famous for its specially painted and drawn ceramics. Mali Iz is a destination ideal for a quiet holiday away from the tourist crowds. As the island has a dozen smaller islets and rocks, sailors and divers will have enough locations to explore. Also, many prefer to visit the National Park Kornati.

While on Iz, you can visit Petrcane or make a one day trip to Split and have an active day with your family on beautiful beaches. If you wish to spend some time on the sea, visit marina Zadar.
